FHBA Summer Conference Set For SEBC/Green Building Show The Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) will hold its annual Summer Builders Conference July 30-August 2 in conjunction with the 31st annual Southeast Building Conference/Green Building Show in Orlando. FHBA President Jay Carlson, a Port Charlotte builder, has announced that the Association's 250-member Board of Directors will meet on Sunday, August 2 at 9 a.m. (ET) at the Rosen Centre Hotel. "This is an important conference at which we assess where we are as an industry and look forward to developing new and better ways to help our members on their road to recovery," said Carlson. FHBA leaders will evaluate how housing fared in the 2009 Florida Legislative Session and release its "scorecard" of state legislators when its Governmental Affairs Committee meets on Saturday, August 1 at 8 a.m. (ET) at the Orange County Convention Center.
