Building Supplies for Education

Due to the prolonged negative state of our economy, the CCBA Public Relations Committee will once again conduct their Stuffed Backpack Drive known as Building Supplies for Education. Thanks to the generous donations of many of our CCBA members and Citrus County Community members, last year we were able to assist over 150 children with backpacks full of much needed supplies for the 2008-09 school year. We feel the need will be bigger and plan to distibute 200 backpacks this year on August 10th. Additionally, we are planning an informational forum that will make information about various local child and education geared groups available to parents as they pick up the completed backpacks. We are very excited and passionate about this endeavor and are looking forward to it! Please help us by donating supplies today. Check back soon for a list of drop off locations and if you know a child in need, please, direct them to our assistance application! Together we can make this more successful the second time around!
