Green Building Committee

Who We Are

The Citrus County Green Building Committee was formed in October 2008 as a committee of the Citrus County Builders Association (CCBA). We have partnered with the Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC) to provide information about green building to the citizens of Citrus County. Membership on the committee is limited to members in good standing of the CCBA or the FGBC. Students and representative of the Education and Government Sectors are always welcome as well.

As our Mission Statement says, we are here to educate the public and share information. There are so many companies that are claiming to be "green" or offer "green" products that it has become confusing to know which ones are really beneficial. Almost every facet of a green home becomes a trade-off with something else. We hope to clear up any questions one might have about what is best for them. Please contact us with your questions, refer to our blog, or contact one of our members.
