Founded in 1977, the Citrus County Builders Association (CCBA) is located in Lecanto, Florida and is a chartered affiliate of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in Washington DC as well as the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) in Tallahassee, Florida.

We are a Not-for Profit 501c6 construction industry association comprised of licensed and insured building contractors, developers, and subcontractors as well as many other members who are in industry supporting businesses or simply feel that their business benefits from our industry. Our association promotes quality, affordable housing for Citrus County, while creating a favorable business climate for its members. Not only that, but our 501c3 Non-Profit arm, Citrus Builders Care works to correct substandard existing housing for elderly and those on fixed incomes who need assistance to be able to maintain quality of life in their current homes.

Our mission is to serve our members and community through proactive involvement in government activities affecting the building industry; ethical business practices, promotion of member products and services; continuing education and enhanced membership benefits.

Among the promotional projects of CCBA are the Spring Parade of Homes, the Annual Home & Outdoor Show, the Jim Blackshear Memorial Golf Outing and the Annual Family Fishing Tournament.

The CCBA supports many educational endeavors in the community such as the Future Builders of America, with 4 chapters in Citrus County, and the Academy of Building Construction at Withlacoochee Technical Institute. The Citrus County Builders Association has recently embarked on Green Education through the forming of the Citrus County Green Building Council.
